When the historic Greek bauxite-mining business
that had ended to Imerys
gets back to Greek hands with Mytilineos
Some ten years ago, French-owned Imerys acquired control of Greek mining concern S&B, of the Kyriakopoulos family.
Part of that deal was the historic bauxite mining concern Parnassus Bauxite Mining.
Now, Greek-owned Mytilineos – active in aluminum – acquired Imerys Bauxite, thus becoming the largest bauxite concern in the EU.
